DeNardo joins leaders representing all specialty pharmacy stakeholders on the Board of the largest association representing the industry.

TAMPA, FL (September 17, 2014) —The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) / Specialty Pharmacy Association of America (SPAARx) announced today that Carmine DeNardo, R.Ph., President and Chief Executive Officer for ReCept Pharmacy, LP., has joined the association’s Board of Directors.

“Ensuring that the NASP / SPAARx Board of Directors has representation from all major stakeholders is an important goal as the organization expands its strategic agenda and takes on new projects,” Robert A. Fulcher, CAE, NASP COO said. “We look to Carmine and our other Board members to govern the organization and discuss the important issues we face as a growing industry.”

Since joining ReCept in February 2009, DeNardo has been responsible for overseeing the long term strategic vision of the company while developing a multi-disciplined business development team focused on growth and integration. He has more than 25 years of pharmacy health care experience in various executive leadership roles specifically in Specialty and Retail Pharmacy Operations.

Prior to joining ReCept, DeNardo served as Chief Operating Officer for TheraCom, a service division of CVS Caremark and Vice President of CVS Caremark Specialty Operations, overseeing all specialty retail locations across 25 states. He earned a BS in Pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

“This an exciting opportunity to work with my colleagues and contribute to the growth of this new organization,” DeNardo said.
DeNardo’s term begins immediately and he will convene with his colleagues for their next meeting at the upcoming NASP Annual Meeting & Expo, scheduled for September 30 – October 3 at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, FL.
