Carmine DeNardo, R.Ph.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Since joining ReCept Pharmacy in 2009, Carmine has been responsible for overseeing ReCept’s long-term national growth, developing a multi-disciplined team focused on patient care and integration of strategic initiatives to expand specialty pharmaceutical care to large health systems.

With more than 30 years of executive leadership in both retail and specialized pharmacy services, he was a key industry contributor in defining the “specialty” pharmacy model. Prior to joining ReCept, Carmine served as Chief Operating Officer for TheraCom, a service division of CVS Caremark, and Vice President of CVS Caremark Specialty Operations, overseeing all specialty retail locations across 25 states. Carmine earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Northeastern University.

Nicky Otts, R.Ph.

Founder

Nicky founded the Company in 1978 with the acquisition of his first pharmacy, located in Fort Worth, Texas. He has subsequently purchased, integrated and operated multiple additional pharmacies and pharmacy files. He is a licensed pharmacist in Texas and Colorado, and was recognized in 1998 as Texas Pharmaceutical Association Employer of the Year. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Jeff Brumbaugh

Chief Information Officer

Jeff began his relationship with ReCept Pharmacy in 1986 working for M.E. II Computers, where he developed ReCept’s first chain-wide dispensing system. In 2001, Jeff and ReCept’s founder, Nicky Otts, purchased M.E. II Computers. Jeff continued to provide service and development for existing clients and was responsible for sales across Texas. In addition, Jeff provided consulting services to ReCept’s IT and Operations departments. In 2006, M.E.II Computers merged with ReCept and Jeff took over as information systems leader for ReCept. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Vaughn Kinosian, R.Ph.

Vice President, Operations

Vaughn Kinosian, R.Ph., joined the ReCept team in 2012 to lead Store and Pharmacy Operations as part of the organization’s vision to execute its growth strategy in Pharmacy Management and Specialty Pharmacy. His leadership has been instrumental in creating one of the leading pharmacy management organizations in the country growing from 15 locations in 2012 to 50 locations by the end of 2019. Vaughn’s experience encompasses opening and operating specialty and community pharmacy locations in a variety of practice settings including clinic-based, health system-based, 340B entity-based and standalone pharmacy locations. His knowledge includes retail and specialty operations, pharmacy management, 340B, business development and strategy. Prior to joining ReCept, Vaughn spent 16 years with CVS Caremark in Specialty and Retail Operations. His role on the Retail Strategic Product Development group enabled leadership on projects to advance CVS’ specialty pharmacy and inventory management priorities. Vaughn also served as Director of Specialty Operations for CVS, responsible for 25 locations throughout the East Coast and the Midwest. He attended The University of Rhode Island where he received a B.S. in Pharmacy.

Michelle Sexton

Vice President, Pharmacy Management Business Development

Michelle joined the team in June 2014 to develop the Pharmacy Management Division within ReCept Pharmacy. Through her strategy and initiatives, she aims to expand physician-owned pharmacies to 100 in over 30 states over the next five years. Prior to joining ReCept, Michelle spent 17 years with CVS/Caremark in various leadership roles. Her most recent role was National Sales Director, Autoimmune, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Transplant where she managed $3.2B in sales. Prior to that, she was involved in Hepatitis C, Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis, Growth Hormone and IVIG. Michelle also played a crucial role in creating and building relationships with manufacturers and setting up trade initiatives for her sales team. Michelle received her undergraduate degree in Business/Marketing from Queens College and her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

Linda Stanko

Linda D. Stanko

Senior Director, Sales and Marketing

Linda Stanko is a multi-faceted revenue driven management executive in the healthcare industry with over 25 years’ experience.  Successful proven track record creating a solid foundation involving sales, sales support, pharma collaboration, engagement and events on a Regional and National level.   Prior to ReCept, Linda was the Sales Director for CVS Caremark, for over 20 years where she was a key individual in developing and managing the Sales Support Division supporting the 165 Field and Inside sales representatives for the Hepatitis, Auto Immune, HIV/AIDS, Oncology, Hemophilia, IVIG, Growth Hormone, PAH, and Transplant therapeutic business lines.   Previous work experience also includes Sales and Marketing Director for Stadtlanders Specialty Pharmacy, LLC.  As Senior Director of Sales of ReCept, Linda is responsible for field and inside Sales Management, personal injury division, corporate brand management and marketing, advertising, product management, and public relations. Linda is also an active member of NASP serving on several committees.

Penny Surratt

Penny Surratt, RN MBA,

Senior Director, Trade Relations

Penny Surratt, RN MBA, is the Senior Director, Trade Relations, ReCept Pharmacy. She has a rich and diverse 34 years in healthcare that encompasses inter-related roles such as: UT Southwestern Medical Center Heart/Lung Transplant Coordinator and Cardiovascular Staff researcher, Hoffmann-LaRoche Pharmaceutical National Accounts Trade Manager, Humana Inc Trade Relations Manager, and Prime Therapeutics Senior Director Specialty Pharmaceuticals Contractor. Her professional association work with AMCP, NASP, PCMA, and AAMCN has been centered on the development and recognition of specialty pharmacies, as a vital component for health care delivery.

She received a BSN, from the University of Texas HSC, with Sigma Theta Tau honors, and a MBA, from the University of Dallas. Penny is married to her best friend David, with whom she shares her hobby and passion as a Texas Longhorn breeder.

Clayton Keene, MS, MSW

Vice President, Client Services

Clayton (Clay) has over twenty years of experience in health care, with a focus in the areas of specialty pharmacy, drug pricing and public health. As the Director of Business Development at CVS Health, he was a key individual in the development of the model and strategy for specialty programs – including 340B contract pharmacy services. Previously, Clay was appointed as the Director of Strategic Planning and Policy in the New York City Mayor’s Office, focusing on health care monitoring, prevention and care services to city residents. Additional previous work experience includes independent health care consulting to federal health care grant recipients and the National Director of Sales and Marketing for Stadtlander Specialty Pharmacy. Clay holds two Master’s Degrees in Health Care Management and Social Work, both from New York University.

Angela Carter

Vice President, Human Resources

Angela Carter joined ReCept Pharmacy in February of 2014 as Senior Director of Human Resources. In this role, she is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function for the company. Angela possesses over 15 years of progressive human resources management experience most recently serving for nine years as the Director of Human Resources for Kindred at Home, a leading provider of home health and hospice services. Prior to joining Kindred in 2005, Angela held the position of Human Resources Manager at Primedia Workplace Learning, a provider of mission-critical training, education and information solutions for the healthcare, government, industrial and banking sectors. In her previous roles, Angela was responsible for the design and implementation of human resources strategies, policies and processes, resolution of employee relations issues, recruiting, training and the management and administration of employee benefit programs. Angela is a native Texan. She attended the University of North Texas where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Patti Weber

Patti Weber

Vice President, Client Services

Patti joined the ReCept Pharmacy team in May 2019 to lead the Client Services team supporting the ReCept pharmacies and Pharmacy Management Division pharmacies. Patti has spent her entire career in various leadership roles leveraging operational and industry knowledge to guide client relationships and strategy. Prior to joining ReCept Patti spent 15 years with CVS Health as Vice President of Client Operations, having oversight of the integration and future state operations of the $10B Aetna Pharmacy contract. She also, most recently, managed the Health Care Services Corporation (HCSC) client relationship for Prime Therapeutics.

Patti has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana in Monroe.
