Infor makes ReCept feel better

June 8, 2016

The vision statement of ReCept pharmacy is: “We make people feel better.” The service offered by the Texas pharmacy chain has recently been improved through the implementation of Infor CRM, previously SalesLogix. ReCept sees five sets of people within its business and each is represented by a hand on its logo that is also reminiscent of the star of Texas. The fives sets of people are patients, pharmacists, pharma, payers and professionals (which include physicians and nurses). The patients or customers are critical to their success and in looking to enhance their user experience they decided to implement a CRM solution.

ReCept selected Infor CRM and worked with Technology Advisors to implement the solution. Technology Advisors are an Infor CRM channel partner. They also deliver solutions in SugarCRM and Microsoft Dynamics CRM but clearly felt that Infor was the best fit for this customer. Since implementation the solution has delivered several improvements to the Pharmacy business processes. These include:

Richer customer profiles.
Enabling the workforce to become mobile with Infor CRM apps.
Increasing back office integration and reducing administration.
Improve the visibility of data for enterprise-wide reporting and visibility.
Enabling faster strategic decision making.
The solution enables a user to get a complete view of all of the “hands” across the business from a single screen. It is not just about visibility, but enabling them to interact to improve relationships through activities such as e-marketing and social media. This allows employees to be fully aware of patients, food preferences, intolerances, birthdays and other details that allow them to make recommendations. This data can be updated by any member of staff, enabling information to be captured immediately without any loss due to time lapses between receipt and transcription.

In the event that a patient contacts ReCept and requires assistance the system reveals who is available, relevant and in the closest proximity to the individual concerned. This reduces not just the time taken to reach the patient, which can be critical, but also the cost of doing so.

Linda Stanko, National Director, Marketing and Inside Sales, ReCept commented: “A major component of our company mission is to provide an uncomplicated pharmacy experience, and we needed a solution that not only benefited us internally, by opening up communication between management and employees, but also externally to deliver optimal care to customers.

“After evaluating multiple technology solutions, it was clear that Infor CRM would be flexible enough to take on our current challenges and adapt to future growth. In addition, the ongoing support that we have received from Technology Advisors was instrumental. The level of support, and the responsiveness, has confirmed that we made the right decision.”

Tuesday, July 7, 2015 ReCept Pharmacy Achieves PCAB Accreditation

Fort Worth, Texas -- ReCept Pharmacy proudly announces its achievement of PCAB accreditation, a service of ACHC, for the services of non-sterile compounding. The accreditation is awarded in recognition of the pharmacy’s commitment to meeting and/or exceeding national quality standards.

Achieving accreditation is a process where healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. PCAB accreditation reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.

“ReCept Pharmacy is committed to delivering the highest quality compounded medications to the community in which we serve,” said Carmine DeNardo, President and CEO of ReCept. “By achieving PCAB Accreditation, our customers can be assured that our organization follows industry best practices and is in compliance with the industry’s most stringent national standards.”

Compounding medications is an integral part of the practice of pharmacy and the demand for these customized medications increases every year. Compounded medications are prescriptions that are written by physicians, veterinarians, and other legally authorized prescribers and prepared for an individual patient by a specially trained pharmacist.

Established in 2007, PCAB was founded by eight of the nation’s leading pharmacy organizations to create voluntary quality accreditation designation for the compounding industry. The organization promotes, develops, and maintains principles, policies, and standards for improving the quality of pharmacy compounding nationwide. In 2014, PCAB accreditation became a service of Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), whereby ACHC administers the PCAB accreditation program. For more information about PCAB accreditation, visit www.achc.org/program/pharmacy.

Friday, May 29, 2015 ReCept Pharmacy, proud sponsor of the Evening of Hope Gala benefits Aids Outreach

When you wish upon a star it is an expression of hope — hope for something good, something better in the future.

And the “Wish Upon a Star” theme for the Evening of Hope gala set for Saturday at the Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel is the same. The event is the expression of hope for a better future for those suffering from HIV/AIDS.

The party is an evening of cocktails, dinner, awards, dancing and a fashion show in style overdrive. The event bursts with glamour, but behind the stalking models and high fashion lies a profoundly important cause: supporting the Aids Outreach Center as it raises money for HIV/AIDS education, advocacy and services.

Co-chairing the event are David Adcock and Scott Green, who are in good company with honorary chair Betty Buckley. Emcee will be WFAA sports anchor Dale Hansen, and the keynote speaker will be Dan Freemyer of Broadway Baptist Church. And turning in their usual solid performance will be Trey and the Tri Tones as they beckon dancers to take a spin on the dance floor.

“Evening of Hope represents the largest single fundraising effort by AIDS Outreach Center. I think that Fort Worth sees the need and understands the positive impact that AOC has on people’s lives,” Green said.

“The challenge is to provide continuing care, coupled with dignity and respect, to those folks who are living with HIV/AIDS,” he said. “This is the opportunity for each of us to come together and make this happen.”

Awards of Inspiration in three categories will be presented to Clint Bradley (individual), the Meadows Foundation (foundation) and JPS Healing Wings Outpatient Clinic (corporate).

Guests will be wowed by a fashion parade showcasing a collection of must-haves by big-name designers Misook and Escada. And adding to the festivities will be fabulous raffles and auctions featuring a 1.24-carat diamond from Kubes, a weeklong Caribbean island vacation and a designer garment by Misook.

ReCept Pharmacy is the first pharmacy in the state of Texas to be approved for participation in the nation’s first Limited Availability Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances (LA EPCS) program. This means that ReCept is also one of the first pharmacies in the country to be certified to receive live, controlled substance e-scripts with Surescripts, the nation’s largest e-prescription network operator.
Currently only selected pharmacies in California, Virginia, Maryland, Idaho, Michigan, the District of Columbia and Texas are eligible to be enrolled in this limited test area program.  Pharmacies must be using specific Cerner Pharmacy Management Systems and be certified by the DEA and local and state authorities to participate.
“ReCept Pharmacy is proud to be selected as the first pharmacy in the great state of Texas to be able to accept electronically prescribed prescriptions of controlled substances,” said Carmine DeNardo, President and CEO of ReCept.  “This demonstrates our leadership position in the field of Chronic Pain Management and further acknowledges our pharmacy’s edge in new technology and “old fashioned” customer service.  Additionally, having this unique ability to accept electronic scripts for controlled products will enable us to continue to ‘make people feel better.’”
Physicians will be able to begin prescribing controlled substances electronically through electronic medical record (EMR) systems that have been certified by federally approved credential service providers or certification authorities.  Providers must also be “identity proofed” by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and have two of three unique authentication credentials making the new technology one of the industries safest and most secure.
